The BVVFD has an on-duty firefighter/medical responder at the station 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help protect and respond to residents in our community at a moment's notice.
Our crews consist of career firefighters and highly trained volunteers, many of them certified paramedics or EMTs. They respond to house fires, car fires, chemical spills, traffic accidents, boating mishaps, and many medical emergencies including heart attacks, serious falls, near-drownings, burns and electrical shocks.
We are very proud of our firefighters' service to this community. Keeping their training at the highest level and their equipment up-to-date requires a financial commitment from the entire community.
The Fire Department relies heavily on the monthly, voluntary contribution from the residents of Bayou Vista and Original Bayou Vista.
Your contribution is automatically reflected in the total amount due on your water/sewer bill. If you wish to contribute to the Department, just pay the total amount due on your monthly bill.
Your contribution to the Bayou Vista Volunteer Fire Department is essential to the success of the Department. With your support, the Department can continue to provide the outstanding level of service that we believe our community deserves.
Thank you.
